Position Overview

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be an integral part of the Data and Analytics organization, working alongside data engineers, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders to unlock the value of data. This role will focus on high-priority business opportunities across functions and geographies, leveraging data to generate actionable insights and drive strategic decision-making.

In collaboration with line-of-business users, business analysts, data analysts, and data scientists, the Business Intelligence Analyst will use data modelling and analytics techniques to deliver meaningful insights. Through the use of advanced data visualization and storytelling techniques, this role will help influence data-driven actions across the organization.

This role demands a blend of creativity, analytical rigor, and collaboration. The Business Intelligence Analyst will advocate for effective data management practices while promoting the adoption of analytics capabilities throughout the organization. Working closely with IT and other business teams, this role will also help develop and implement optimal data-driven solutions that align with business goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster Stakeholder Relationships:

Build and sustain collaborative relationships with enterprise business stakeholders, aligning data initiatives with their strategic objectives.

  • Educate and Support Stakeholders:
    Train and guide business users in data tools and initiatives, offering innovative solutions to meet evolving data needs.
  • Communicate Insights with Data:
    Create compelling data visualizations and stories that drive understanding and inspire action at all levels of the organization.
  • Lead Analytic Initiatives:
    Execute studies, Proof of Concepts and pilot projects to unlock insights and test new solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
    Work with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to develop and refine data-driven solutions, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Operationalize Data Solutions:
    Partner with enterprise teams to implement and scale data initiatives, ensuring they are actionable and integrated into business processes.
  • Champion Data Governance:
    Promote and uphold best practices in data management, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and reliability across the organization.

·       The ideal candidate will have a combination of analytical skills, data governance and IT skills and have a curious attitude

  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate workable solutions.

·        Experience (proven) in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with both technical and business teams to drive data projects.

  • Understanding of data governance practises and the ability to think in an enterprise-wide manner
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills to gain buy-in from stakeholders across regions
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
