Position Overview

Ralph Lauren Agency (RLA) Project Managers are the central strategic partner within the Agency and to cross functional partners across the company. They manage the end-to-end lifecycle of projects, processes and initiatives—acting as the conductor, bringing the right people—across all disciplines and functions—together at the right time to bring our campaigns to life. RLA Project Managers partner with Marketing, Design, Creative and Production to align the macro-overview and micro details for all campaigns from pre-brief to delivery of shoots, digital and traditional media assets 

This role requires a strong understanding of project management, collaborative approach, expert communication and developing people manager skills. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership to multiple brands in the RLA portfolio
  • Building strategic partnership with Marketing, Design, Creative, and Production
  • Acts as a strategic partner to Creative—ensure brief is right and that concepts meet the brief
  • Central Point of Contact Bring leaders together for important discussions
  • Control the flow of information by collecting, organizing and sharing the appropriate details at the appropriate time.
  • Clearly communicate project status in weekly wrap up reports as well as other necessary touch points.
  • Create, lead and manage all aspects of a project, including project planning, communication, scheduling, budget management, approvals, issue and risk tracking from ideation to delivery and beyond.
  • Work with Marketing to understand budget requirements and manage the bottoms up build with Production.
  • Create, manage and enforce timelines for world-class execution of all requests. Hold stakeholders accountable for hitting dates and flag potential conflicts.
  • Calendar all cross functional meetings including manage meeting attendee lists. Responsible for kicking off/setting up each conversation, wrapping up at the end with action items and follow up notes.
  • Represents “client” in creative reviews, delivers strategic point of view and ensures alignment to the brief.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on Deliverables Matrix to Ensure Production and Creative are clear on expectations and priority shots/needs.
  • Partner with Rights Management to ensure all final assets are right secured.
  • Manages multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Routinely prioritize balancing the pursuit of opportunity and the application of resources appropriately for maximum benefit to the business.
  • Manage changes to project scope to ensure proper risk mitigation.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation and reporting for all assigned projects including timelines, dependencies, contingencies, requirements, status, progress and risks.
  • Maintain close working relationships with all channels and regional stakeholders to help identify potential business and efficiency improvements where relevant and applicable.
  • Regularly provide updates for all project stakeholders.
  • Schedule and lead productive meetings that push projects towards completion 

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Strategic account management experience at an Agency or in a high paced environment with a background in project management/creative operations
  • Experience with photo, video and digital production
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) who has a successful track record building relationships
  • Analytic, data driven thinker with a focus on finding innovative solutions to old (and new) challenges
  • Experience working in a complex corporate structure and an ability to influence across departmental boundaries to affect positive change. Ability to manage multiple projects at once
