Position Overview

Organize, maintain and monitor all use of Ralph Lauren Home product samples in order to control sample traffic and maximize opportunity to support key initiatives – seasonal marketing campaigns, editorial request and social media content development. Provide effective support and management of all samples for Ralph Lauren Home brands to support all Marketing and Communications initiatives.  

Assist the Marketing & Communications department with executing multi-channel comprehensive communications strategies including administrative support on a daily basis in addition to the below projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

Sample Coordination

  • Filter all sample needs for Marketing & Communications requests
  • Maintain established system for receiving and cataloging seasonal samples collections from Product Development, Merchandising, Design teams
  • Coordinate all product sample needs with licensee partners, tracking availability, and transportation to ultimate destination.
  • Maintain library of collections & inventory through an organized system of checking in and checking out, with the goal of minimizing conflicting requests and maximizing sample usage.
  • Act as key liaison with Communication teams to manage volume of sample requests and coordinate trafficking samples to key publications for strategic editorial opportunities and special events
  • Support Marketing & Advertising teams by coordinating samples sent to seasonal campaigns and product shoots for the development category selling tools and ecommerce needs
  • Partner with Managers to identify discontinued or edited SKUs and coordinate sending samples to Ralph Lauren Library and/or Sample Sales
  • Partner with Digital Asset Coordinator to schedule shoots for RalphLauren.com & Wholesale Online partners

Press List & Editorial Metrics

  • Update and maintain an accurate and current list of all key members of the press
  • Track and record press coverage for quarterly editorial activity reports, and maintain current document of impressions, reach, publicity value, and other relevant media values for all editorial credits throughout the year 

Editorial Archives

  • Maintain editorial archives which are current and accessible – tag and archive all home features and product stories
  • Track and submit monthly press clippings and major features to corporate library in compliance with requirements 

 

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit and a natural problem solver
  • Strong organizational skills, task-oriented and process-driven
  • Interest in the home décor/shelter industry; experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in excel and power point
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
  • Knowledge of digital technology & marketing and social media a plus
