This person will be the primary point of contact for the development and growth of our business surrounding our various Polo and Lauren brands for all families of business in their store(s) or territory. They will focus on developing relationships with key wholesale partners to execute company strategies while maintaining an important level of connectivity to our Sales Partners, Brand Image, and other internal partners to ensure we are presenting our Ralph Lauren brands in the most evolved and elevated manner possible. Must effectively balance driving the elevation of the brand, leveraging partnerships to maximize growth opportunities, collaboration with sales to determine the specific focus needed for each visit/store and the creativity of merchandising the sales floor to meet those needs

Business Acumen/Communication:

 

- Cleary understand and can articulate the state of the business including annual volume, in season trend, best sellers/underperformers, as well as effectively communicate Wins and Opportunities.

 

- Send business recaps covering sales trends, product needs, customer feedback, competitive landscape to identify and communicate overall learnings, best performers and opportunities with account and internal partners, as well as leadership.

 

- Consistently communicate business needs with Store Management, RL Sales Partners, and Retail Development leadership team to identify immediate and ongoing opportunities from store visits.

 

- Build & maintain strong account/store partnerships & relationships through continuous collaboration with management, personal shopping and sales team

 

- Execute strategies outlined by sales leads & our overall leadership team to drive sales growth and profitability.

 

In-Store Presentation:

- Create strong, well-balanced merchandise statements consistent with Ralph Lauren strategies & guidelines inclusive of compelling rigs derived from curated looks

- Execute floor moves based on seasonal directives, incoming receipts & modify as required based on business trends.

- Walk each respective family of business on a consistent, weekly basis; make productive assessments and act where needed in a timely manner.

- Ensure the store maintains the highest level of maintenance standards as well as timely execution of processing new inventory for the floor, price changes and markdowns.

- Ensure store team maintains an organized stockroom for easy product replenishment.

 

Coaching / Training / Partnership

- Conduct monthly product and selling seminars that are engaging to create a well informed sales team about the RL brand, with the goal of improving regular priced selling while keeping the customer at the center.

- Maintain full staffing levels and move with urgency to partner with store team to fill open roles in a timely manner as well as maintaining an active involvement in the selection/interviewing process of any potential candidates.

- Partner with in-store teams to continually assess quality of staff to ensure we have best in class talent using sales/productivity metrics as our guide when available.

- Provide and demonstrate elevated selling and customer engagement techniques to empower the team to sell more.

- Inspire and Engage with the Saks sales team and management to ensure they all are equipped with the information needed to drive the sales performance

 

- Provide ongoing hands-on training on the following

§ Inspire the team about incoming deliveries

§ What key styles/programs will best drive our business

§ In depth product knowledge about all aspects of our brand

 

 

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

- Highly organized and able to successfully multitask execution of in store needs with operational discipline.

 

- Able to articulate your vision to inspire others, from customers to colleagues to store teams.

 

- Able to develop influential and collaborative relationships across teams and functions, both internally and externally.

 

- Strong business acumen; and a numbers driven mindset.

 

- Previous leadership skills demonstrated.

 

- Proactive communicator

 

- Motivated, independent, initiative-taker with a professional attitude.

 

- Proficient computer knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint) and basic photography skills.

 

- Ability to travel based on business needs – may include overnight travel

 

- College degree preferred.
