Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate, creative, tech savvy, and highly motivated individual to join the Retail Marketing team for Europe, who oversee the brand growth strategy across all EU Retail doors and the overarching marketing strategy for the UK.
This entry level position has an equal commercial and brand emphasis with the main objectives of driving brand awareness and desirability, store footfall, and revenue, and client acquisition and retention, whilst elevating and bringing new energy to the brand experience.
The successful candidate will support the team in terms of direct marketing, event planning, tourism initiatives, advertising, seasonal planning and learn more on strategic presentation building, as well as result tracking and analysis.
Over and above all the skills and experience required to be successful as a marketer within Ralph Lauren, we seek an individual with a genuine passion and “feel” for the brand, strong interest in fashion and digital innovation, with project management skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting into the Retail Marketing Senior Associate for UK you will:
• Participate in the elaboration of the Ralph Lauren retail marketing strategy for Europe, in particular for the UK Market. This includes large-scale pivotal brand moments (i.e. Chelsea in Bloom, Wimbledon, Holiday).
• Coordinate in-store events at a local level to drive brand awareness, elevation, acquisition and traffic to stores.
• Brainstorm 360 marketing communication plans for all events and campaigns.
• Clearly communicate the validated strategy to internal stakeholders to encourage buy-in for the marketing plans and bring them alive.
• Help identify innovative big ideas that can deliver strong brand awareness & engagement, with AI at its core.
• Research and keep track of market trends and competitor activities, identifying key opportunities for ‘buzz generating’ activations.
• Support with POs and budget files across multiple projects
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
The role requires someone with strong communication skills, a business mindset and a creative and entrepreneurial spirit to be able to drive and execute ambitious projects involving several internal & external stakeholders.
- Interest in marketing or equivalent experience, ideally in a corporate office and in the Fashion or Retail industry.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); additional languages a bonus (German, French).
- Strong business sense and analytical capacity.
- Creative thinking skills and pro-activity in bringing new ideas and concepts to the table.
- Curiosity and understanding of the luxury industry and competitors’ activities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (particularly Excel & PowerPoint).
- Advanced Business Writing & Diplomacy Skills.
