The Ralph Lauren Corporation, a global leader in luxury fashion and design.  Our Global Development Center (GDC) is focused on building high-quality technology solutions to enhance the business & customer experience across channels and geographies.  

Ralph Lauren is embarking on a multi-year Transformational journey to Digitize the Value Chain (DVC) which will reinvent the way we work by leveraging our talent and creativity with the latest innovations, lean processes, data driven & implementing modern technologies.  

The Program will consist of COE teams across 4 Tracks: Product Transformation, Supplier Collaboration, Supply & Demand Alignment and a Data team that will consist of a hybrid of talent with business, technology and analytical experience.

To help meet our program objectives, we are seeking an innovative Agile Manager who’ll collaborate with various product-managers, delivery team members and engage with business teams to drive product and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment focused on continuous, relentless improvement. 

Purpose & Scope: Based in Bengaluru, India this Agile Manager will work with the DVC program within a collaborative cross-functional team to create, prioritize, monitor and deliver features and capabilities to continually enhance the digitization of the value chain. 

The Agile Manager will be responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility initiatives using Agile methodologies and practices in a fast-paced environment across technology groups. This position requires an individual who has previously been a successful Product Manager and/or Agile Coach on highly distributed teams, has been involved in Agile/Scrum transformation, and has experience in software delivery as well as can drive and influence change and effectively communicate at various levels of the organization.

This role will require both creative and collaborative working with IT and the wider business. It will involve evangelizing effective data driven management practices and promoting better understanding of delivery, releases & quality using a metric driven approach. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Agile product management:
    • Collaborate with team members, in-partnership of each DVC product stream, to create and effectively nurture a data-driven and market-focused product strategy that works in concert with the DVC’s approved roadmap & initiatives; identify the implications and opportunities resulting in enabling the value-chain and organizational change initiatives.
    • Ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, able to lead projects and initiatives and multiple teams to self-organization.
  • Product lifecycle Management:
    • Manage the assigned end-to-end product Lifecyle from conception through launch; execute on growth initiatives; recommend a product feature and release roadmap based on business and technology goals, in-depth analysis and a clear understanding of customer needs; effectively design product delivery plans based on priorities, and execute against clear and measurable objectives.
    • Build visibility and transparency to both business and technology to grow trust amongst teams to achieve goals at various levels throughout the program and lead others to do so by example.
    • Facilitate alignment of dependencies between the program team and third parties, product managers and other teams across the program
  • Financial management: Use financial acumen and key business metrics, along with experiments and multivariate testing, to build business cases that inform investments, prioritize defined product initiatives, and determine successful deployment and adoption of features.
  • Quality, Communication & Release management:
    • Proactively identify and partner to resolve related issues that may impair or delay the ability to meet goals; collaborate as necessary with internal and external stakeholders to successfully resolve roadblocks.
    • Must be able to communicate well with all levels of the organization from product team members to executives.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, manage risks, issues and dependencies for/with external components.
    • Initiative/sprint level: Partner with product owners to drive the definition and refinement of the product backlog, maintain metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on initiative level plans, progress and quality.
  • Managerial approach & flexibility:
    • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.
    • Able to lead by example and demonstrate value-add principles
    • Ability to shift to the role or tasks needed for each situational transformation with the ability to "get the job done regardless of role definition”
    • Quickly gain a high-level understanding of the technical and business domains of the scrum teams.
    • Servant Leader: Must be able to garner respect from team and stakeholders and be willing to get their hands dirty to get the job done
    • Situational Awareness: Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Education and Experience
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in science, statistics, applied mathematics, data management, information systems, information science or a related quantitative field is required.
  • At least 8 years or more of work experience in technology or supply-chain.
  • At least 4 years of experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders in Retail / Manufacturing / CPG / Finance in support of a departmental and/or multi-departmental transformation initiative., as an Agile manager or product manager in agile environments.
Technical Knowledge/Skills
  • Prior experience in Technology product management discipline and expertise and experience in managing product teams., as an Agile manager for multiple teams in an Agile enterprise-scale environment.
  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinking capability to develop impactful product release strategies
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with business case and ROI development
  • Experience with Agile Management tools (e.g. JIRA, VersionOne) and solid expertise with the Scrum, Kanban and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) structure and theories
  • Agile / Scrum Industry Certification(s)
Interpersonal Skills and Characteristics
  • Strong experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic business environment.
  • Required to be highly creative and collaborative. An ideal candidate would be expected to collaborate with both the business and IT teams to define the business problem, refine the requirements, and design and develop data deliverables accordingly. The successful candidate will also be required to have regular discussions with consumers on optimally refining the product pipelines in partnership with product manager/SMEs.
  • Required to have the accessibility and ability to interface with, and gain the respect of, stakeholders at all levels and roles within the company.
  • Demonstrable competence in building relationships and effectively communicating to build credibility with and ability to influence business leadership; able to effectively present reports, ideas and recommendations to senior management and external parties.
  • Is a confident, energetic self-starter, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Has good judgment, a sense of urgency and has demonstrated commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity.
