Position Overview
Ralph Lauren is looking for an intern to join the Product Development Accessories team at our Scandicci office.
This 6 months internship offers a unique opportunity to learn within a dynamic and international environment, supporting the team in the development of Handbags, Small Leather Goods, and related hardware.
The primary mission of the internship is to provide a hands-on learning experience, enabling the intern to become familiar with the full product development process, from the creative phase through to industrialization.
The intern, working closely with the team, will have the opportunity to:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Support the creation and updating of technical sheets
Assist in the follow‑up of prototypes and samples
Support the management and development of hardware components
Assist in the coordination with suppliers and cross‑functional teams
Contribute to the organization of materials, databases, and product documentation
Participate in daily product development activities
The purpose is to offer a comprehensive view of the product development cycle, promoting progressive learning through practical tasks and direct exposure to internal processes.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Required Skills and Qualifications (suitable for a junior / internship profile):
Interest in the fashion/accessories sector and in the product development process
Educational background in Fashion, Design, Product Engineering, Leather/Accessories Design, or related fields
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint), and PLM tools
Strong willingness to learn, curiosity, attention to detail, and good organizational skills
Ability to work in a team, proactivity, and a problem‑solving mindset
Good written and spoken English
An interest in, or basic academic exposure to, hardware development is considered a plus, though not required
