Position Overview

Handle all aspects of RRL Knits and Woven Shirts fabric, product development operations and production from initial development through final bulk production.  Assist Product Management Director with raw material and sample development.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Own the Master BOM for low touch designs.  Create the initial Master BOM with a Tech Pack.   - Update BOM for showroom samples (post-proto approval) through stock approval/OK to buy/production ready
- Submit tech pack dates in PLM and report metrics, Create and maintain Material ID#s and Tech Packs on PLM.
- Develop and track counter sourced raw materials and components as needed: fabric/yarn/components/trim, embellishments, patches, labels & hangtags
- Track the development of and receive showroom samples
- Provide and maintain accurate and organized information for samples, garment deliveries and all issues
- Input, update and finalize all product details and costing in PLM (product lifecycle management software).
- Partner with manager to drive the optimized lead-times and activities from development to store
- Partner with senior team to develop and create timelines with sourcing offices and vendors on lab dips, raw material sourcing and approvals to ensure production delivery deadlines are met
- Work closely with team to maintain development and production costing for products
- Collaborate with senior team and technical designers and meet weekly to analyze product development WIP report
- Input, update and finalize all product details and costing in PLM (product lifecycle management software)
- Communicate daily with HK Office and factories as the key development point person for RRL Knits Design Development.
- Communicate comments for showroom and stock on behalf of Design– i.e. fabric trials, strike offs, lab dips, prints, and wash submits.
- Work with Design, Production, and Merchandising toward approvals to ensure on-time delivery of fabrics, trims, samples, and bulk.Create and maintain Fabric Line list through PLM and Excel.
- Obtain completed mill cards and accurately input data into PLM and excel charts in a timely manner.
- Monitor status updates from HKO and factories to achieve required approval deadline.
- Maintain and organize fabric, trim, prints, and wash submits into appropriate binders and files.
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing submits/samples are properly organized, tagged, and recorded.
- Attend fittings and milestone meetings to implement changes and comments into development.
- Update Tech Packs as needed.
- Send and receive packages via appropriate courier services and maintain clear tracking records
- Manage product costing, purchase orders and deliveries

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

- Bachelor’s degree
- Product development or related experience
- Knowledge of garment manufacturing process
- Knowledge of apparel product development; includes experience in the assigned product category
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Agile, nimble and solution oriented

- Strong communication and cross-functional team collaboration skills; ability to partner closely 
   with Design, Technical Design, Raw Materials, and Merchandising Teams, as well as Sourcing
