Pay Range: The pay range for this job is $99000 - $211750 annually; actual pay is dependent on experience and geographic location.

Position Overview

RL is seeking a dynamic and experienced QA Lead to spearhead our transition from manual quality assurance to a modern, automation-first quality engineering culture. This strategic role will guide the transformation of the QA team, establish best-in-class automation practices, and ensure seamless integration with Product, Program, and Engineering teams. The QA Lead will leverage data and user analytics to maximize the effectiveness of test automation, support Agile delivery, and drive continuous improvement across our global quality organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·         QA Team Transformation: Lead the evolution of the QA organization from manual testing to automation-first methodologies, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

·         Automation Leadership: Design, implement, and scale automation frameworks and processes for platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), Order Management Systems (OMS), and Headless Commerce solutions, ensuring robust coverage for web and mobile applications.

·         Agile Process Support: Embed quality engineering within Agile teams, collaborating closely with Product, Program, and Engineering partners to define and deliver quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.

·         Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison across departments to align quality objectives, facilitate clear communication, and ensure shared ownership of quality outcomes.

·         Data-Driven Team Management: Utilize data and metrics to monitor team performance, identify trends, and drive informed decision-making for resource allocation and process enhancements.

·         User Analytics Integration: Incorporate user analytics insights to optimize test strategies, prioritize automation efforts, and proactively address quality risks.

·         Process Automation: Lead the automation of tests for Mobile Apps, SEO, Payment, Inventory, and Pricing functions, ensuring end-to-end coverage and reliability.

·         Policy Setting and Audit Leadership: Define quality policies, establish standards, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and continuous process improvement.

·         Team Development: Mentor and train QA professionals, nurture talent, and build a high-performing, globally distributed team capable of meeting current and future quality engineering challenges.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA) preferred.

·         8+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.

·         Demonstrated expertise in test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices, with hands-on experience in Headless Commerce, SFCC, OMS, and automation for web and mobile platforms.

·         Experience supporting Agile software development and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

·         Strong background in automating tests for Mobile Apps, SEO, Payment, Inventory, and Pricing systems.

·         Proven ability to lead and develop globally distributed QA teams.

·         Advanced data analysis skills and experience leveraging metrics and analytics for quality improvement.

·         In-depth understanding of QA methodologies, risk-based testing, policy creation, and audit processes.
