Position Overview

The Financial Reporting Manager of External Reporting will have hands-on involvement in the preparation and review of Ralph Lauren Corporation’s (“RL”) SEC filings on Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K, as well as involvement with other SEC filings (e.g., Proxy Statement, debt offerings, etc). This individual will also play a critical role in monitoring relevant regulatory guidance, interpreting and adopting new accounting standards, and accounting for complex and non-routine transactions, as well as closely collaborating with RL’s Executive Leadership and a variety of cross-functional teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Oversee the preparation and review of RL’s SEC filings on Forms 10-K and 10-Q in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, including drafting and reviewing notes to the financial statements and XBRL tagging

· Oversee the preparation and review of supporting tie-outs of RL’s SEC filings on Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K (i.e., the quarterly earnings press release)

· Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly GAAP-related checklists

· Oversee the preparation and review of peer benchmarking to ensure RL’s disclosures remain best-in-class

· Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly Board-related presentations

· Assist in monitoring all rulemaking activities of the SEC, FASB, EITF, et al and assist in the development of implementation strategies to ensure RL’s compliance with new standards

· Responsible for accounting for RL’s stock-based compensation program, including calculating the related expense (both forecasts and actuals)

· Prepare various technical accounting memos and analyses, including asset impairments (e.g., goodwill, cease-use real estate locations, etc.), going concern considerations, etc.

· Proactive role in reviewing and determining the impact of complex and non-routine transactions and agreements entered into by RL

· Prepare various ad hoc reports & analyses for senior management and participate in projects as needed, as well as provide accounting/reporting-related guidance to global teams

· Oversee RL’s internal management representation letter Sox compliance program

· Oversee the preparation and review of RL’s annual 401(k) financial statement report

· Closely collaborate with a variety of business partners across the organization, including Internal Reporting, Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, Legal, HR, Accounting Shared Services, Financial Reporting & Analysis, Internal Audit, etc., as well as RL’s external auditors

· Serve as a mentor to both direct and indirect staff, providing guidance and career development opportunities

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA required

· Approximately 7-10 years of experience in public/private accounting

· Strong technical knowledge base, ability to perform accounting research and interpret regulatory guidance

· Strong organization, analytical and communication (written & oral) skills

· Experience working in a complex, multi-national organization a strong plus

· Systems experience a strong plus, including Workiva, consolidation systems (e.g., FCCS) and general ledgers (e.g., SAP)

· Familiarity in preparing PowerPoint presentations a strong plus
