Position Overview
- Attend college full-time in the United States and be entering your final semester or year of undergraduate studies with a graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Able to work in an in-person or hybrid workplace environment arrangement
- Available the entire duration of the 10-week internship and reside within a commutable distance to one of our office locations (NY, NJ, NC). A housing stipend will be provided to help with travel and accommodations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the design team in the execution of product as defined by Line Plan/Design Briefs.
- If able, assist with Adobe Illustrator flats; CADing in Illustrator/Photoshop and XD.
- Support manager in design meetings, pre meeting design presentation boards, as well as post meeting re-caps and updates.
- Assist with sweater research of competitors and market trends.
- Pull research from web sites, blogs, etc.
- Work on fabric, market sample and proto archives – on-going project.
- Create digital history of seasonal boards, samples, and lookbooks for sweaters.
- Support team operationally – record keeping, organizing and maintaining all documents, fabrics and materials related to product.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Strong team work / collaborative skill set are essential
- Design experience, woven fabric knowledge a plus
- Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly detail oriented, thorough, accurate, and dedicated to seeing a project through on time
- Goal oriented and focused on creating winning results
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; mainly Illustrator, Photoshop & XD
- Strong understanding and appreciation of the Ralph Lauren aesthetic, brand heritage, and the retail industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong writing and math skills; retail math a plus
- Highly organized and eager team player
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and deliver results with attention to detail
- Thinks strategically to seize opportunities and solve problems
- Active listener with strong communication; clearly communicates ideas, both written and verbally
- Ability to balance creativity with practicality
