Position Overview

Responsibilities will center on financial and operational support for the Wholesale North America Finance Division with the primary focus on reporting and financial modeling.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and innovative financial professional with the ability to multi-task with a high degree of analytical proficiency and integrity.  Position requires good foundational knowledge and experience in finance/accounting and a firm understanding of financial concepts.  Position requires the candidate to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships at all levels of the organization.

 

This position interfaces with Finance, Accounting, Account Services, Sales, Planning, Marketing and Divisional Management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·        Support the overall forecasting, budgeting and day-to-day financial reporting processes of the division

·        Assist in preparation of sales, margin and vendor allowance/other dilution reporting as needed

·        Manage bookings updates and ensure alignment with sales/planning and account services partners

·        Complete monthly operating expense forecasts including payroll and headcount management

·        Assist with the month-end close processes including variance analyses in partnership with accounting team

·        Support and prepare ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed

·        Anticipate needs of senior management and business partners by prioritizing and delivering results

 

·        Establish and maintain strong partnerships across divisional finance team to promote teamwork and organizational alignment

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Finance/Accounting or related field required
  • Finance/Accounting experience with focus on planning and analysis
  • Wholesale apparel, accessories, and/or home experience in an operational finance role a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (oral, written, and formal) with the ability to develop professional relationships across varying levels of management
  • Experienced in financial modeling and business case preparation
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and sound follow-up
  • Self-motivated with an intellectual curiosity; Results driven
  • Advanced competency in Excel and other Microsoft applications, experience with SAP/Microstrategy, Hyperion/Essbase a plus
