Position Overview

The Security Engineer will be responsible for coordinating daily security monitoring and response to security incidents in the global organization.  This position requires hands on technical skills to identify, triage and respond to incidents as well as management and communication skills to coordinate with appropriate technical and business teams as required

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·       Responsible for operation of tools to identify, prevent, contain and mitigate technical security risks that exist in the RL IT Infrastructure.

·       Assist in developing and maintaining security related process and procedures for the Security Operations Center (SOC).

·       Assist in identifying and coordinating remediation of vulnerabilities in global environment.

·       Experience in the use of a variety of security tools, including:

o   Antivirus

o   Network Firewall/Host Based Firewall/Web Application Firewall

o   Intrusion detection/prevention

o   Data Loss Prevention

o   Encryption tools

o   Network sniffers and packet data collectors

o   Web Proxy/URL filtering

o   Security Incident and Event Management

o   Vulnerability scanners

o   Sandboxing

o   Digital cyber forensic and eDiscovery tools

o   File Integrity Monitoring

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Desired:

·       Experience with advanced forensic and security analytic tools

·       Experience with performing forensic investigations and participation in eDiscovery activities

·       Cyber-crime related law enforcement experience

Required Skills:

  • 3-5+ years of Network and/or Host Security experience.
  • Strong expertise in security configuration of various operating systems, including all relevant versions of Microsoft and Apple OS’s.
  • Strong expertise in log data analysis
  • Strong expertise in data extraction and parsing scripting (shell, pearl, macros, excel, etc.)
  • Strong expertise in configuring and utilizing vulnerability assessment scanners (ex: Rapid7, Qualys, MBSA, etc.)
  • Strong expertise in the use of host security configuration assessment tools (ex: Policy Auditor, ESM, etc)
  • Strong expertise in conducting digital forensics investigations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven system problem solving skills and experience resolving complex business issues
  •  

Desired Skills:

  • Strong knowledge in network security architecture
  • Experience working with risk tracking tools

Educational Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred


Preferred Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:

· CISM, CISSP, CISA, GIAC/GCFA
