Position Overview

The Director of IT Cloud and Data Center Architecture will be responsible for determining the technology road maps and strategic direction of IT core infrastructure. This position is also responsible to run the operations of the Application Hosting services on-prem and in the cloud, negotiate contracts and design solutions for the application hosting to meet the business requirements for availability, resilience and performance. Additionally, this position is responsible for overall health, data integrity and operational efficiency for all aspects of enterprise systems, storage and facilities. Relies on extensive IT experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop annual Capital and Operating budgets to maintain the infrastructure current and reliable
  • Routine interaction with leadership from all Ralph Lauren IT application support teams to ensure SLA’s
  • Responsible for determining and ensuring Information Technology standards across all regions
  • Develop policies and procedures for operational processes in order to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations
  • Direct the contract renewals and continuous cost optimization by performing ROI of the technology required in the Datacenter Infrastructure
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining vendor and partner relationships including KPI, SLA and daily operations
  • Personnel management and growth of technical leadership in cloud technologies
  • Responsible to maintain the day to day operations and production control
  • Responsible to build the Disaster Recovery Plan and perform the test every year
  • Maintain the integrity and reliability of the global datacenter and cloud infrastructure
  • Develop the technology roadmaps, maintain the infrastructure current and patched timely
  • Design, justify and develop ROI for new technology implementation
  • Lead and ensure the implementation of the projects in the Datacenter and Cloud infrastructure
  • Manage the Infrastructure demand management and provide architecture design with bill of materials for budget approvals.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • A strong Leader capable of influencing and directing the work of others and our outsourcing partner
  • Strong knowledge in iSeries, RedHat, Microsoft Server, UCS, Hyperflex, EMC Storage and Backup
  • Strong experience in Disaster Recovery Plan and Business Continuity Plan
  • Strong experience implementing Hybrid Cloud services with AWS and Azure
  • Able to foster a professional working environment for technical staff
  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to prioritize and organize projects and tasks

Optional – Mandatory Requirements
  • 10 years of demonstrated experience in Datacenter Infrastructure Operations Management
  • 5 years of experience with IBM iSeries platform
  • 5 years of experience with VMware, Citrix, UCS, Cisco Hyperflex and EMC Infrastructure
  • 7 years of experience developing and implementing a technology roadmap architecture
  • 3 years of experience migrating workloads to the cloud in AWS and Azure.
