Position Overview

Assist the development of Outerwear/Active Pants & Shorts from initial hand off through to production approval, meeting quality expectations for samples and stock.  Coordinate daily flow of information between design, merchandising, fabric and trim, production, technical design and sourcing offices meeting calendar deadlines.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Include but not limited to:


·         Attend seasonal hand offs with Design and technical design.

·         Create all seasonal technical packages in PLM with a focus on BOM’s and artwork for logo developments.  Enter key milestone dates in PLM for tracking.

·         Release all initial tech packs for proto developments, trials and sample trim orders.

·         Maintain daily communication with partners to help facilitate accurate developments. 

·         Maintain the WIP agenda for owned styles and participate in weekly WIPS meetings, hand offs, and any other cross-functional meetings as directed by manager.

·         Assist in the management of line changes, adds and drops with accuracy and timeliness and communicate to all partners.

·         Track all developments and communicate timing and status to team to include receipt of protos, mock ups, stock fit samples, wash, embellishment or other trials and monitor timings against calendar.

·         Attend all fittings with a focus on BOM’s for seamless updates or to create visibility of details to team.

·         Help prepare for and attend seasonal line reviews.  Thoroughly review samples against tech packs to identify discrepancies.  Partner with manager to recap line review comments and coordinate with Design to capture all updates into tech packs in a timely matter.

·         Monitor stock OTB’s and partner with Design to proof, update and ensure all approvals are in place before releasing updated tech packs to factories.


·         Assist in special projects as needed.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Product development or related experience  a plus
  • Knowledge of garment manufacturing process
  • Knowledge of apparel product development; includes experience in the assigned product category
  • Agile, nimble and solution oriented
  • Strong communication and cross-functional team collaboration skills; ability to work closely with Design, Technical Design, Raw Materials, and Merchandising Teams, as well as Sourcing Offices
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge
  • PLM a plus
  • Embodies the CFAs of the RL Brand
