Position Overview

Ralph Lauren is seeking a passionate Associate Product Manager to drive the discovery, documentation, and execution of the functional and system requirements for Connected Retail.  This role will be responsible for understanding business needs and challenges and working with key stakeholders. This role will be an integral part of the digital team to communicate and refine requirements towards the goal of designing and delivering both technical as well as consumer-centric solutions. Experience with e-commerce, and in-store consumer experience is desired as this would benefit in delivering solutions that contribute to the success of the business.

Position is based in NY/NJ and in office 2-3 days a week.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

·        Gather and document business and functional requirements by leveraging discovery sessions, requirement workshops, document analysis, use cases, user stories, and workflow analysis.

·        Translate high-level information into digestible details and specifications, as well as abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding.

·        Critically evaluate information from multiple sources in order to reconcile conflicts, align to clear goals, influence product direction, and drive solutions.

·        Proactively communicate with external and internal customers to analyze the feasibility of new features and enhancement, understand information needs, as well as capture requirements.

·        Work closely with a cross-functional, dynamic, and multi-disciplinary team of business, store associates, architects, developers, and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision, analyze tradeoffs, and actively mitigate potential risks.

·        Determine operational performance via data analysis in order to measure success against goals and identify root causes of complex problems.

·        Assist with the rollout of new functionality and user acceptance testing, ensuring that product stipulations are satisfied, issues are resolved, and exceptional user experiences are delivered.

·        Ensure end users have the training and documentation required to efficiently manage new features.

  •          Partner with business teams in documentation of user manual and training document for users of the application

 

  • Provide support and triage complex issues, outlining the impact and potential resolutions to stakeholders while working with the development team to implement the best solution.
  • Assist with the rollout of new functionality and the execution of test plans to ensure that product stipulations are satisfied, issues are resolved, and exceptional user experiences are delivered

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

 

·        Bachelor’s degree, computer science or similar technology degree.

·        2+ years of product management and/or similar, related experience with a track record of delivering high quality results.

·        Experience writing and vetting business requirement documentation, functional and system requirements, user stories, process workflows, and test cases is desired.

·        Analytical and product development skills with a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer and business needs, translating them to application and operational requirements.

·        Excellent communication/writing skills as well as the ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously and across internal and external organizations.

 

·       Comfortable in a highly-matrixed, iterative development environment and good at balancing collaboration and advocacy.  Able to work independently as well as under direction of product and project managers.
