Position Overview
Ralph Lauren Asia Pacific is looking for a motivated and digital savvy Digital Designer to join the digital creative team. The Designer will partner closely with our cross-functional and cross-regional counterparts in APAC and global HQ to support our brand sites, APP, and digital channel Marketplace initiatives. The candidate must be well versed in the digital world and can utilize digital to elevate the customer and brand experience. The role requires a detail oriented, driven, and collaborative team player.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
· Ensuring all designs work within the principles and are built on our Ralph Lauren Design System. Demanding consistency of experience across the multiple touchpoints.
· Create a best in class consumer experience and meet the needs for the family of Ralph Lauren brands
· Understand briefs and department requirements and offer solutions to creative problems.
· Able to work independently respecting multiple deadlines.
· Paying close attention to detail and grasp project needs and assist in translating with the team.
· Confident in presenting and explaining creative ideas to stakeholders, colleagues and agency.
· Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
· Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders within the company.
· Be opened to receiving feedback and constructive criticism
· Exceptionally skilled at image curation, visual storytelling, typography, layout, form and color
· Strong understanding of web standards and latest web technologies, image optimization and cross-browser compatibility
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ of design experience in-house marketing or at an agency environment.
- A strong portfolio to be presented and walked through during interview;
- Understands creative Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, AI etc)
- Can effectively manage multiple projects and priorities across various channels
- Performs well in a fast-paced, changing environment
- You are also a strong communicator and relationship builder; a hands-on and independent self starter; and a creative thinker and problem solver
- Knowledge of CSS3, HTML and responsive design
- Experience in video editing is a plus;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
- English fluency/advance knowledge is a must; fluency/advanced knowledge of Mandarin, Cantonese and other Asian languages is highly valued
- Knowledge with China, Japan, Korea, and/or SEA ecommerce market is a huge plus
- Stays up to date and curious about emerging AI technologies, with an interest in how they can enhance creative and operational workflows.
