Position Overview

We’re seeking a highly skilled UX Researcher with deep usability testing experience. The ideal candidate excels at planning and running studies, analyzing user behavior, and delivering actionable insights to improve product experiences.

While bilingual ability in Korean or Japanese is a strong preference, it is not a requirement. Candidates with language skills may be asked to support translation of research materials, facilitate user sessions in the local language, or provide cultural insights to ensure that research findings align with regional business needs. This role directly contributes to delivering localized, user-centered product experiences across global markets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and execute usability tests across digital platforms (websites, mobile apps, and prototypes), adapting methods to local markets.
  • Recruit, screen, and coordinate participants, ensuring research reflects relevant user groups and cultural contexts.
  • Where bilingual capability exists, facilitate moderated and unmoderated sessions in Korean or Japanese, support translation of research materials, and interpret cultural nuances to inform product recommendations.
  • Analyze and synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights and deliverables (reports, readouts, presentations) that directly influence product, design, and business decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, developers, and business stakeholders to align research outcomes with strategic goals.
  • Advocate for user needs and cultural context throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring research insights are embedded in decision-making.
  • Present and defend research findings and key milestones to peers, executives, and stakeholders, communicating insights with clarity and impact.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and communicate actionable product solutions rooted in research evidence.
  • Socialize findings broadly across teams to foster a user-centric culture and strengthen research adoption.
  • Build competitive intelligence by monitoring industry benchmarks, emerging technologies, and e-commerce trends across APAC markets.

  • Ability to be a hands-on contributor and eager to take initiative in a fast-paced, ever-changing, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate well across all project roles design, research, product management, engineering, etc.
  • Solid communication and presentation skills.
  • Preferred: Bilingual in Korean or Japanese with the ability to support translation and cultural interpretation for business purposes.
