Position Overview
Ralph Lauren is looking for a Transport Specialist as part of the EMEA Transport Organization, reporting to the Senior Manager Transportation – based at the European DC Campus, near Parma.
The Transport Specialist will join a team of young talents, who are responsible for Transport Developments and Vendor Compliance & Operations activities.
The wide scope of the team will give the unique opportunity for the Transport Specialist to be involved in large-scale operational projects with an end-to-end view, from factories to final B2B & B2C consumers or owned Retail stores and to play a key role to ensure that RL’s vendors are compliant with corporate shipping policies, product standards and Inbound requested transit-times (with specific focus on Luxury/Made in Italy & EU products).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a key point of contact for RL’s Manufacturing & Sourcing teams and European vendor’s factories
- Ensure that Ralph Lauren vendors meet RL global supply chain compliance standards
- Partner with vendors to ensure correct usage of the RL Transport Management System and partners’ EDI systems
- Create strong partnership with freight forwarders to facilitate the export of RL’s vendor shipments from Europe to all global RL’s Distribution Centers
- Work with the EMEA 3rd party logistics provider, ensuring packing / labelling compliance and seamless product flow from DC arrival to put-away
- Report, monitor and drive continuous improvement of vendors’ performances leveraging RL’s Business Intelligence tools
- Support the Senior Manager in transport development projects or initiatives– eg. system developments, release of new operational/customs flows, carrier’s and EDI integrations, implementation of new transport solutions for B2B and B2C customers, omni-channel and sustainability projects
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- 3rd level qualification in industrial engineering (or similar) and/or 2+ years’ experience in a related logistics role
- Good level of English, both spoken and written.
- Good interpersonal skills to facilitate strong relationship with business partners and logistics & transport providers
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team but also independently

- Passionate, curious and resilient
- Strong work ethic and time/priority management skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer/IT skills
