Position Overview

The Business Analyst role is responsible for assisting with key strategic and operational projects in Ralph Lauren’s Retail Allocation business areas.  The selected candidate will possess expertise in the subjects of Retail inventory management and data analytics for allocation.  The primary focus of this role is centered on supporting the implementation, enhancement, and roll-out of Allocation and advanced Allocation functionalities in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.  The BA serves as a key liaison with various cross-functional partners to ensure that business needs are met and that business users can perform their jobs efficiently and effectively.  The candidate will work on multiple projects, including, but not limited to, evaluating current processes to maximize existing systems and business solutions, as well as supporting system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as the key liaison between IT and the Business community to ensure business end users can perform their jobs efficiently and effectively.
  • Responsible for system documentation, configuration, testing, and support.
  • Identify process and system gaps and map them to appropriate business enhancements.
  • Capture and document business, functional, and technical requirements, procedures, and specifications.
  • Develop/execute test scripts and manage system testing for configuration, modifications, and reports.
  • Work with other business analysts and/or team leads, developers, and internal applications personnel to implement enhancements or enable new functionalities.
  • Conduct regression analysis to identify any configuration and/or custom solutions to ensure proper conversion, migration, and integration.
  • Provide user support as well as Production batch support via the Incident Management process.
  • Maintain communication with the business on project statuses and issue resolution.
  • Support the Learning and Development Department in the development and updates to training materials.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Tools and Technology Tracking: JIRA, Microsoft Visio, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL)
  • Data Analytics, SQL, PKMS, SAP
  • AS400 iSeries: EDI.
  • Familiarity with Allocation, Core Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, Price Management, Demand,  Replenishment knowledge, PKMS.
