FUNCTIEOVERZICHT

Assist with managing the Retail Network Infrastructure daily operations and network-based telephony solutions. Perform system maintenance, identify trends and provide reporting for outages and resolutions. Will be responsible for several different types of network designs installed across the regions including Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Cloudgenix and traditional WAN, IWAN and SDWAN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced connectivity troubleshooting and support in response to Help Desk escalations, Retail Operations requirements, and global store technology initiatives.
  • Own end-to-end responsibility for all retail-installed routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VPNs, and telephony connectivity across global sites.
  • Lead management of wired and wireless infrastructure using enterprise-grade tool platforms (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Cradlepoint, Cloudgenix, SolarWinds, etc.).
  • Perform advanced remote device configuration for moves, adds, and changes (MAC), SEV 1 hardware replacements, and new store openings.
  • Design, implement, and optimize LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and VPN connectivity, ensuring scalability, redundancy, and compliance with enterprise security policies.
  • Actively participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for complex, recurring issues and implement long-term fixes to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Review and fine-tune monitoring and alerting platforms, ensuring data accuracy and taking proactive actions before issues impact operations.

  • Lead Zoom Telephony management – advanced troubleshooting, configuration, call flow management, and integration with other collaboration tools.
  • Contribute to network architecture design, documentation, and knowledge sharing, ensuring alignment with global IT retail strategy.
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen operational excellence.
  • Ensure all changes follow ITIL best practices and proper documentation/audit trails are maintained.

ERVARING, VAARDIGHEDEN EN KENNIS

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Deep technical expertise in enterprise network infrastructure with 9–12 years of experience in L2/L3 network engineering and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Routing & Switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP/VRRP, VLANs, QoS, STP
  • Security: ACLs, Zone-Based Firewall (ZBFW), VPN (site-to-site & remote access), IDS/IPS
  • SD-WAN Solutions: Cisco SD-WAN, Palo Alto Prisma, Cloudgenix, Cradlepoint
  • Wireless Technologies: Meraki and Cisco Wireless Controller-based deployments
  • Telephony & Collaboration: Zoom Phone, Cisco CUCM, VoIP call routing and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on expertise with network monitoring and management platforms (SolarWinds, Meraki Dashboard, etc.).
  • Experience leading network design, deployment, and optimization projects across multi-region enterprise environments.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in RCA and implementation of permanent fixes.
  • Strong experience in change management, incident management, and documentation.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments with global teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
  • Professional certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
  • CCNP / CCIE (Cisco)
  • PCNSE (Palo Alto)
  • ITIL Foundation.

Professional Experience:
• 9–12 years of progressive experience in network engineering and operations.
• Demonstrated success in handling L2 and L3 escalations and complex enterprise network issues.
• Experience in global, multi-vendor environments with proven ability to align with business and technology needs
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment
