PANORAMICA DELLA POSIZIONE

The candidate’s responsibility is delivering accurate and insightful sales, margin, and inventory planning and forecasting across the business. The role supports the development of datadriven strategies by conducting detailed analysis, generating clear performance insights, and enhancing reporting and planning tools. This position prepares highquality analytical narratives, business recommendations, and performance materials that enable informed decisionmaking. The candidate also collaborates with crossfunctional stakeholders to ensure alignment on key assumptions and business indicators, while providing timely analytical support for adhoc analysis and management presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales, margin, and inventory performance to identify trends and insights that support business decision making. Strengthen reporting tools and analytical models to improve visibility and accuracy of performance metrics. 

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare the forecasts by consolidating assumptions and validating inputs from crossfunctional teams. Maintain and refine planning models to improve forecasting reliability and support annual budgeting cycles. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators and conduct variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods. Identify risks and opportunities early and provide fact based explanations and recommendations.
  • Reporting & Storytelling: Prepare recurring business reports and management presentations, translating data and analysis into clear insights and compelling performance narratives for senior stakeholders.
  • Technical & Analytical Enablement: Apply coding and analytical skills using SQL, Python, advanced Excel, and BI tools to extract, transform, and analyze data. Enhance and automate analytical models, reports, and dashboards to improve planning effectiveness, insight depth, and decision support.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with finance, merchandising, retail, supply chain, marketing, and other functions to align assumptions, performance insights, and action plans. Act as a key analytical partner in business discussions.
  • Scenario & Strategic Analysis: Conduct scenario, sensitivity, and what if analyses to assess business drivers and support strategic and operational planning.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Deliver timely, structured ad hoc analyses to support urgent business questions and management requests.

ESPERIENZA, COMPETENZE E CONOSCENZE

Requirements

Educational Background 

  • Bachelor's or above in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field 

 

Skills and Competencies 
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights 
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SAP, and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Oracle) 
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication to interact with various stakeholders 
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions 
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities 
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting 
  • Proficient communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin (written and verbal)

 

Experience 

  • 5 years of experience in business analysis, financial planning, or a related field. 
  • Understanding of the retail or store planning industry can be beneficial 
  • Experience working with various departments such as marketing, operations, and IT to align business strategies
