Position Overview

Ralph Lauren is seeking a product copywriter to develop clear, compelling, and on-brand copy across our women’s family of brands, including Collection, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Lauren Ralph Lauren.

 S/he must be a solutions-focused team player with excellent communication and organizational skills who can be counted on to imbue a small number of words with a great amount of impact to drive sales.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Write clear, compelling, and on-brand product descriptions for Ralph Lauren ecommerce sites and wholesale partners. Brands include Ralph Lauren Collection, Polo Ralph Lauren accessories and footwear, and Lauren apparel.
  • Regularly communicate with Design, Production, and Merchandising to ensure copy is accurate and informative.
  • Attend showroom walkthroughs, line reviews, and design meetings to bolster product descriptions. 
  • Amend and revise product descriptions in response to feedback from merchants, editors, or other business partners.
  • Work on several projects at once in order to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Continuously develop and refine the voice for women’s product descriptions.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • work experience).
  • 2+ years of copywriting or editorial experience, preferably focused on luxury womenswear and accessories.
  • A strong editorial voice and knowledge of women’s fashion.
  • Excellent grammar and spelling.
  • Proficiency with Word and Excel, experience with database tools, content management systems, and knowledge of best-in-class dot-com practices. 
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
