Position Overview

Ralph Lauren is looking for an experienced, self-directed and highly motivated Director of Digital Content Services to take responsibility for existing DAM solutions and participate in the creation of new state-of-the-art global Digital Asset Supply Chain systems and processes.  This role requires a strong understanding of Digital Asset Management, Product Information Management, Content creation, distribution and syndication.

Strategy & Planning
Participate in planning and development of an End-to-End Digital Asset Management strategy in a global retail organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strong ability documenting complex business processes and emerging requirements providing recommendations for short term tactical improvements while articulating and refining the future state Digital Content Services architecture
  • Must ensure Digital Assets are published and available for Ralph Lauren and Ralph Lauren Partner Ecommerce sites prior to goods arriving in distribution centers
  • Provide sound recommendations on the modification, enhancement and re-engineering of business processes, technology solutions that make up the Company’s Digital Content Services
  • Expand the reach of Digital Content creation to include additional channels e.g. In-Store Retail Kiosks and In-Store mobile applications
  • Prioritize, scope and plan for ongoing systems improvements that expand our digital asset reach, remove bottlenecks and reduce friction in the distribution of content globally
  • Work cross functionally with IT, Digital, Marketing, Advertising and Design teams

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Formal Education & Certification
  • College diploma or university degree
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Digital Asset Management experience inside an organization
Knowledge & Experience
  • Must have experience implementing and customizing DAM solutions, including data migration and asset system integration with line-of-business systems
  • Must have experience developing cost and resource impact analysis
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of metadata principles and experience implementing numerous metadata schema
  • Experience with asset creation technology desired
  • Experience with barcode, QR and RFID technology is desired
  • Prior user training experience is desired
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Digital Services and Technology solutions
  • Experience in leading large implementation efforts and development lifecycle
  • Strong Jira / Confluence skills preferred
