Position Overview

The Systems Engineer Retail role requires a high level of technical proficiency and requires an individual with strong Windows OS Administration skills, primarily Windows Servers and Desktop Windows like Windows 10 and 11. The role will be responsible for building and maintaining all retail images used by the Global Retail team used in the Store as well as Datacenter. Must be able to build and create new custom OS images for rapid deployment. The role will also requires working closely with Corporate Security and the application team to ensure the Images are up to date with security patches and updates. He/She will also be responsible for testing security patches that is being released monthly to ensure compliance. 

Other responsibility includes assisting with diagnosing and troubleshooting OS related issues reported by application support team which are related to software/hardware drivers compatibility and working closely with Domain administrator to maintain Group Policies for the Retail environment. The individual should be customer focused, passionate about the end user experience, enjoys challenging themselves constantly to improve, and empowering the end user community by providing IT knowledge and tools.

  • Working closely with Solutions Architect to analyze, validate, and manage technical requirements to build and maintain OS images for global Retail
  • Patch management to ensure OS images and the Retail environment is properly patched and compliant.
  • Work with Domain Admin to build / update group policies applicable to the Retail devices globally
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving computer and network issues both remotely and onsite in a multi-office work environment
  • Participate in the implementation of technology refresh cycles

  • 5+ years of Windows OS Support experience (Windows 2008/2012/2016/ 10/11)
  • BE or BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or 3+ years of experience managing Windows Images in a domain environment.
  • Required Experience: The minimum experience for this position is 2-3 years of relevant experience in building new Windows OS images and custom deployment scripts for remote OS install. Proven skills with Powershell and VB Scripts
  • Extensive experience supporting Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Office Suite
  • Experience with Active Directory account creation, password resets, group membership changes, distribution groups and other AD functions
  • Experience supporting VPN clients and VPN Administration
  • Experience supporting SCCM deployment and bootable USB drives
  • Experience imaging and deploying new and replacement laptop and desktop equipment.
